Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the hands-on maintenance and repair of three warehouse/distribution facilities. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots building-related issues, coordinates required inspections, and ensures all facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse facilities and building systems.
Maintain dock doors, lighting systems, electrical components, walkways, entryways, and other building infrastructure.
Complete minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
Perform routine facility maintenance tasks, including forklift battery watering systems, air compressor drainage, and sprinkler system maintenance.
Coordinate and support fire sprinkler, fire extinguisher, and other required safety inspections.
Maintain facility grounds and coordinate waste and dumpster services.
Troubleshoot facility issues and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and projects
Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies, as Director of Operations.
Qualifications
3-5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building maintenance.
Experience maintaining dock equipment, warehouse infrastructure, and facility support systems preferred.
Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities across multiple locations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license required.
